We are looking to hire a small team of production operatives to join our clients business as they prepare to ramp up for the seasonal market. 

JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS 

Production Operative 


• This role will involve working within various areas of the factory which include the assembly of wooden products, final assembly and despatch.
• On occasions you may be required to operate machinery like cutting and stapling machines which are relevant for the role.

Main duties will include:
• cutting wood to lengths, moulding, waxing, staining and colouring wood. Sticking, trimming, sealing, shrink wrapping and bubble wrapping completed products.
• Other duties will include hand assembly and working in the despatch area which would involve working with cardboard boxes as partly preparation for the customers’ orders.
• Due to the nature of these products all workers are expected to work to a very high standard so attention to detail, accuracy and consistency is very important.
• All tools and safety protection equipment will be provided on site, but safety footwear must be brought in by all workers.

• Some heavy lifting may be involved.
• Must be reliable, flexible, a good team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (42.5 hours per week).
