My Client, an instantly recognisable business with a strong reputation locally, is looking for a forward thinking Management Accountant/ Financial Analyst to join them early 2023.

The role is designed to assist with a traditionally busy period for the business and then develop into a longer planning and budgeting position with a view to assisting with year end as well later in the year.  It is anticipated that this will be a 6-9 month fixed term contract with potential for this to be extended for the right person.

This highly visible role will work throughout the business to understand business trends and activities. You will be responsible for providing crucial support to the business around FP&A and business partnering activities.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide support to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager
- Support the team in delivering annual budget, reforecasts and monthly flash reporting
- Responsible for managing the budget and forecast data
- Be proactive with the improvement of internal processes around monthly financial reporting
- Develop strong stakeholder relationships with key budget holders
- Responsible for managing budget and forecast data upload processes, with strong understanding of data flows
- Monthly management accounts and provide first-pass commentary on trends & performance vs. budget/forecast.

As the Finance Analyst you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
- Preparation of financial forecasts using modelling techniques
- Producing visual dashboards
- Analysing monthly and weekly trading performance and providing recommendations
- Produce board report packs for Directors to assist their month end reporting
- Identifying and reporting relevant KPIs during month end reporting
- Sign-off bank reconciliations for all bank accounts

What you will need:

- Qualified CIMA
- Experience working in one of the following roles: Senior Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner / Finance Lead / Commercial Accountant / Finance Analyst
- Commercial mindset
- Advanced Excel skills
