Warehouse Operative

Core details: Temp to perm opportunity, Burgess Hill, £11 per hour while temporary, increasing to £23,000 p/a if successful, increasing holiday entitlement after 2 years, bonus scheme, company team events, increased employer pension contributions and free parking.

The role: We are delighted to be working with a very well-established client who are seeking a Warehouse Assistant on a temporary basis initially, with a view to the successful candidate turning permanent. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to further their career in a friendly, lively environment, located in Burgess Hill. This role requires a large amount of heavy lifting so physical strength and stamina are highly important. Duties will include:

* Unloading containers of stock
* Operating forklift (licence required)
* Lifting and moving heavy products into the warehouse
* Picking orders
* Wrapping pallets
* Keeping warehouse organised and tidy

Required Skills: This role requires prior experience in a warehouse role, moving heavy/large items and using a forklift. The role will involve a great deal of heavy lifting so physical stamina is very important for health and safety reasons. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, with a problem-solving approach to work. Also, a real team player, able to maintain a good work relationship with other team members and adaptable to changing tasks.
