THE ENGINEERING CONTROLS AND AUTOMATION SPECIALIST

Role and Responsibilities:

* To drive the performance of the site (OEE)
* To provide expertise to all areas of site and in new projects
* To support the standard of quality being produced across site
* Management of all maintenance on site
* To be responsible for the driving of improved performance in all areas using enhanced controls and latest automation
* To execute process and control improvements and prioritize all work in line with plant needs and production availability
* To complete regular backups of control systems and routine maintenance of systems . (recorded appropriately)



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will need to have a background in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries. You will also have:

* Extensive experience of working in an automated FMCG environment
* Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery
* Extensive experience in control systems (Siemens, E&H etc)
* Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
* Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent
* Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
* Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects
* Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
