Senior Finance Data Analyst Job - Salary of c£50,000 DOE - Mid Kent based with hybrid working

Your new company
This is great opportunity for an experienced Finance and Data Analyst to join this leading Mid-Kent based business on a 12 month Fixed term Contract.

Your new role
To be responsible for the interrogation and analysis of contracts and service provision data. Working as part of a small commercial finance team, you will produce aggregated results and insights to support the grown and development of the business.

Scope of the Job and Specific Responsibilities:

1. Gather and interrogate data from a range of sources, constantly analysing the data to ensure the effective operation of key financial controls
2. Create and maintain a (temporary) central database of information to inform strategic decision making, supporting others to access it
3. Report on and present the data in the most effective manner for ease of understanding
4. Review all relevant processes, improving and establishing systems and procedures to ensure the effective operation of key financial controls
5. Work with the income team to ensure accurate and complete collection of income
6. Work with finance and operational colleagues to ensure the provision of services aligns with funding and contractual agreements
7. Work with the Business Development team to ensure accurate and complete contract records are maintained 8. Produce update reports for Finance and Operational management
9. Lead the defining of formal business requirements to improve the processes and systems
10. Contribute to the review and selection of a new monitoring system
11. Lead the design, development, and implementation of a new monitoring system

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an accomplished Data / Finance Analyst with a demonstrated ability to develop and communicate key financial and management information. You will also need to demonstrate experience of; analysing complex and varied data sets from multiple sources. Designing easy to understand reports. Establishing financial management and internal control systems. Advanced database design with expert use of Excel. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to technical and non-technical people. Ability to produce high quality data briefings communicating complex information in an accessible way. A financial qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be desirable but not essential.
