This a fantastically interesting role in a niche sector for someone who might have worked as a mechanic or in mechanical assembly - or just someone who loves taking things apart and re-assembling them. It is a varied role, and you will get involved in all the mechanical workshop activities including, repair assessment, incoming inspection, reduce to produce, component assembly, component modification, hydraulic and pneumatic testing. Monday to Friday - 38 hours a week.
KeyResponsibilities:
Perform a preliminary inspection of incoming componentsDisassemble components for repair assessment and identificationDetermine material to be used in repair processCarry out repairs in accordance to repair instructions and component maintenance manualsCarry out functional testing – Hydraulic and PneumaticAssemble components post repair / overhaulCarry out Reduce to Produce activitiesDaily, Weekly and Monthly data reporting
You will need the following experience:
· Hands-on experience in a Mechanical Engineering Workshop environment
Good organisational and planning skills with proven track record of project / task prioritisationGood problem-solving skillsGood technical abilityGood understanding of customer requirements with proven track record in meeting customer expectationsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsKnowledge and ability to read and interpret technical documentationWillingness to adopt flexible work patterns when required to meet business needsWillingness and ability to work with Engineers and staff at all levelsWillingness to work with all levels within the organisation
