A Sussex based main contractor seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee their Small Works Division. With a strong orderbook they pride themselves on working collaboratively with their clients and delivering high quality projects. Sites are varied and typically from the heritage; education; healthcare; ecclesiastical; and housing sectors. With several new projects starting an opportunity has arisen to join the stable Small Works Construction team overseeing new projects in the Sussex area.

Your new role
As an experienced Contracts Manager you will be responsible for overseeing approx. 4 -5 projects with values upto c.£400k. You will be involved at the early stages of the projects tender / award and have a team of Supervisors plus a dedicated QS . The jobs are typically fast passed schemes and could be - church refurbishment; one off private high specification house; council upgrade jobs; sports or school hall renovation etc. the projects are interesting and varied. You will be responsible for all day to day contracts management duties including sub contract management, health and safety, progress reports, client liaison, troubleshooting and management of the site team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Contracts Manager ideally with a Main Contractor background with clear experience of managing similar sized schemes . You will have experience of a variety of contracts for the different main contracting background ( education / healthcare / housing / commercial / heritage) and have a good eye for detail and quality. You will be comfortable dealing with private clients and be looking for a long term permanent role.
