Goldhawk Associates are working with a growing business based in Sevenoaks.
They are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager who will be responsible for the entire accounts payable function and management of Accounts Payable Clerks.
This role would be perfect for someone looking to make their mark in company that has excellent growth plans.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of the accounts payable process
- Managing 4 Accounts Payable Clerks, including delivery reviews, KPI reports etc
- Ensure all suppliers payments and customer refunds are paid within the company`s payment terms
- Ensure invoices are matched to POs and other departments use the PO system as required
- Resolve queries with the business
- General purchase ledger and banking journals as required within the scope of the role
- Provide training and support to the wider business as required.
- Ensure all payments are allocated correctly on the supplier accounts and debit balances are resolved
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Creating new supplier accounts as instructed ensuring all checks have been done
- Ensure that systems evolve and are configured to meet the changing needs of the business
- Identify opportunities for systems improvements, develop business cases and implement as appropriate
Requirements:
- Previous experience managing / training of Accounts Payable Clerks
- Previous experience implementing processes and controls
- Strong and adaptable communication skills and the ability to build good relationship
- The applicant must be able to work independently, organise their workload and when necessary and take instructions from Senior Finance
