A long established manufacturing company in Medway Towns are looking to recruit a Factory Operative - PFD Processor on a permanent basis.
Summary:
To process castings through Penetrant Flaw Detection - encompassing the "Acid Etch" and "De-grease" of castings prior to final inspection PFD and the de-grease of castings prior to foundry check PFD.
* Operation of the Etching, De-greasing & PFD Processing line.
* Perform operational performance tests and calibrations using techniques specified by the Level 2 or 3.
* Understand and apply proper cleaning and any other necessary preparation of the parts before and / or after inspection.
* Proficiently set up test pieces and conduct the required test of the part or assembly in accordance with specific procedures.
* Conducting pre-use checks on all equipment.
* Meeting production output targets - daily and monthly.
There will be training available to Level 2 NSA410 Level 2 PFD Inspection.
Whilst full training will be given for the right candidates, a background in manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous.
Shift:
* Mon-Thur 06:00 - 16:30.
The salary will be reviewed after 6 months.
