Incoming Processing Clerk

Role: Income Processing Clerk
Location: Crawley
Salary: £24000

My client is a distribution network operator covering South East England, the East of England and London.

They are currently looking for an Income Processing Clerk who will be responsible for the day-to-day Billing and sales/work order processing activities of any one of our three Distribution Networks. You will be expected to work closely with other members of the Income processing and Credit Control teams to ensure that these activities are carried out accurately to agreed timetables.

You will be accountable for the accurate and timely creation of sales orders, work orders and sales invoices, the accurate and timely daily allocation of all cash receipts including BAC's, Credit Cards & Cheques, ensuring the sales orders have been populated with the appropriate budget and planning data in a timely manner, working with Robotic Processing Automation software to process invoicing through RPA in a daily processing function. You will also support the Finance team by monitoring the quality of information being entered into SAP in order to improve the integrity of financial data recorded in SAP as well as performing specific administrative tasks in line with prescribed processes as directed by business requirements, seeking continuous improvement in methods of working & processes to ensure quality & efficient financial support is provided.

You will consistently strive to increase the financial awareness of the business by acting as focal point on all billing and cash related matters by effectively managing internal customer inquiries and billing disputes. You will work with all members of the Income processing team and Credit Control team to provide an integrated, cohesive unit offering flexibility to fulfil Finance related requirements.

For this role you will need a minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade A-C equivalent, be PC & Microsoft literate: word, excel and outlook competently, have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as numerical experience, preferably with a background in payments, Finance or Billing related work, to have experience in job profitability, budgets and variance analysis would be an advantage, you will need to be a proven team player but able to work on own initiative, have attention to detail to ensure accuracy is essential and having experience of SAP would be an advantage and demonstrated high level of customer service when dealing with stakeholders.

What's critical for this role is being a practical, hands-on and value adding individual as well as being able to work accurately and quickly to tight deadlines, able to define and align with the company's culture and values as well as obtaining Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain relationships.
