We have an opportunity for you to join our team as our Technical Project Manager for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). You will be an integral part of our IT Project Management team working closely with colleagues across the organisation and third party suppliers to manage technical project delivery. You need to be able to manage multiple project deliverables and communicate the status of IT projects in a clear and timely way that enable CAF’s strategies and operational plans to be delivered.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is an excellent communicator, strong team player, with good attention to detail, bringing enthusiasm, passion and professionalism in delivering a variety of projects making improvements across our technical estate.
You should be able to manage yourself effectively to complete tasks to a given deadline, whilst being able to adapt to a fast changing environment. The role requires liaison with a multitude of stakeholders; therefore you will have strong written, visual and verbal communication skills and experience in the use of industry standard software and methodologies (JIRA, Confluence, Prince2, DSDM, AGILE)
Our International Head office is based in Kings Hill, Kent where you will be required to come around once a month. The rest of the time you will be based working from home.
You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week. Working hours are 9am to 5pm with an hour for lunch but flexibility is available.

As our Technical Project Manager your key responsibilities will include:
• Project initiation and scoping, producing a Project Initiation/Feasibility Document (PID) to confirm project scope, producing and maintaining a project plan and reporting project status.
• Facilitating risk workshops and managing risk through the project lifecycle
• Managing project financial tracking and purchasing
• Managing changes in project scope, producing documented change control, managing and facilitating steering group governance meetings
• Planning, organising and managing technical change implementations
• Producing transition documentation to hand over projects to the IT service team (BAU)
• Requesting and organising project resources and team members to deliver project tasks and activities
• Supporting and coaching the Team in self-organization and cross-functionality encouraging them to operate on a self-managed basis and in project practices to ensure full and consistent understanding and appreciation.
Skills required of our Technical Project Manager:
• Project Management experience
• Experience in managing third parties is highly desirable
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and processes (DSDM, Prince, Agile)
• Ability to produce good quality, accurate project documentation
• Ability to manage stakeholders and run meetings effectively
• Excellent collaborative working style
• Strong relationship builder
