Job purpose
The primary purpose of this provide administrative support and guidance to all employees of all financial tasks ensuing that both client and company processes are followed. As finance assistant you will be the first point of contact for finance related telephone and e-mail queries. You will be expected to contribute to the creation and development of a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments all departments. You will report directly to Head of Finance.

Attributes required:
 Relevant experience within a similar role within the construction industry is essential
 Excellent organisational skills
 Ability to prioritise workload and take initiative
 A desire to develop the role further to ensure continual improvement and compliance with company procedures
 Proficient in SAGE, word and excel
 Previous experience of working with a finance role

Main Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger
• Reconcile ad Maintain Purchase Ledger
• Prepare and process payment run monthly
• To provide a first point of contact for incoming telephone calls and emails from suppliers, dealing with queries.

Subcontractor Ledger
• Prepare and process a weekly payment run
• Back cost subcontractor costs on the retrospective CVR.
• Run and verify the CIS monthly return in Sage 50 Accounts
• Maintaining new Subcontractors requesting bank details and verifying changes submitted from the H&S & Compliance Manager, and verify CIS status in Sage 50 Accounts

Payroll
• Prepare weekly payroll reports for Head of Finance.
• Processing of employee Expenses.
• Assist Head of Finance with Monthly Payroll and reporting.

Bank
• Weekly bank feeds & reconciliation
• Maintain & reconcile company credit card postings ensuring receipt of Vat invoice received.
• Ad hoc Bank and card payments as required

Additional ad-hoc duties which may be required from time to time.
