Office Administrator - Full time
5 days a week - office based (no hybrid working due to nature of the work)
Hours: 8.00am - 5.00pm (Friday 8.00am-4.00pm)
Location: outskirts of Maidstone
Salary: £24,500-26,500
Brand new Office Administrator vacancy within a small but established and successful Engineering company based on the outskirts of Maidstone.
This role required someone super organised and methodical, but patient and easy going in what can sometimes be a busy and chaotic environment.
Duties are varied, but generally include:
* General administrational tasks; answering phones, organising travel, ordering office supplies and other administrational tasks as required
* Checking delivery notes against original orders and updating the Purchase Order tracker accordingly
* Updating trackers to ensure accuracy with materials
* Ensure all delivered materials certificates and calibration certificates are filed and archived correctly with all relevant details added to the 'Bill of Materials'
* Compilation of manuals for final delivery to our clients and external bodies when required.
* Retention time for some documents is 10 years, hence the necessity for meticulous archiving and maintenance of document access.
* Supporting Purchasing function; keeping the Purchase Order tracker up to date and chase outstanding deliveries
* Help Accountant/Finance department when needed
You will need to be flexible to take on other duties as required by the business.
To be successful you will have/be:
* Some solid office-based administration
* Organised, methodical and thorough work ethic with a high attention to detail
* Good Excel knowledge - able to use formulas and functions (this is essential)
* Good level of English with accuracy with spelling and grammar
* Excellent problem-solving and investigation skills
* Experience supporting finance functions previously would be a distinct advantage
* A positive, 'can do' attitude with a good sense of humour!
* Any experience within manufacturing or engineering would be an advantage
This is a busy and fast paced role with the opportunity to grow and make it your own. The role is based within an industrial environment and therefore looking for someone happy with this. The company are growing due to success so progression is possible for the right person.
