Working in a care home setting and based in Broadstairs, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of all aspects of kitchen production, ensuring food is prepared to a high standard and in-line with personalised requirements of residents. You will be running a kitchen with two other Chefs and six Kitchen Assistants, catering for between 70 & 90 people, including residents and staff.
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in the following:
* Catering for specific dietary requirements.
* Experience of cooking for c100 people.
* Management experience in a similar role.
* Computerised ordering.
* Knowledge of food preparation to the required NHS and regulatory standards for nutrition, hydration, dietary preferences and health-related conditions.
Qualifications required:
City & Guilds 706 (1&2) Food Preparation.
Level 3 Food Preparation and Cooking or Food Preparation and Culinary Arts or equivalent.
Intermediate Food Hygiene or equivalent.
Level 3 First Aid at Work.
The hours of work, once fully inducted, will generally be 0730 to 1430 covering Monday to Sunday, working five days a week on a rota basis. However, some flexibility is required during training and to cover the needs of the business, as and when required.
This job requires a DBS check at Enhanced level with barred list for Adults.
