Senior Commercial & Project Accountant | Mid Kent | Competitive Salary + bonus + package

A hugely successful and growing privately owned business in Kent with a t/over of c250m is recruiting a Commercially focussed Accountant to join them in an exciting new opportunity to add value and undertake a number of projects to improve business insight, reporting and analysis in order to continue to progress. This role has excellent opportunities for progression to top level finance.

Areas of Responsibility:
• To support the finance team whilst they spend time on a system implementation project (12 to 18 months)
• Business Partnering multiple business streams, building relationships and supporting them with critical analysis and reporting to aid
commercial decisions
• Project to implement and maintain a standard costing system
• Assist and improve the Quarterly Forecasting, Budgets and Business Plans
• Assist and improve analysis of sales and cost trends within the business, making recommendations to improve profitability/processes
• To assist in the development of new reporting and analysis using the new ERP system, own reports, Excel and Power Bi
• Automate and improve existing reports via Excel
• Assist with the production of the Management and Statutory Accounts where required
• Ad hoc business improvement projects

Requirements:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
• Commercially astute
• Expert in technology
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Organised and motivated with an inquisitive mind
• Willing and able to influence decisions
• Willing and able to improve profitability through reporting, analysis, observation, conversation and provide examples of this
• Possesses ambition and drive
