Credit Controller
Role: Credit Controller
Location: Crawley
Salary: 25k
My client is responsible for undertaking all new regulated connections to the public electricity networks owned and operated by them, as well as carrying out contestable and private connection works to the public networks The Connections sector has a combined turnover of around £300m per annum and they are currently looking for Credit Controller to work in the Crawley Office. You will be required to support the Operational accountants and other stakeholders by the ensuring the monthly calculation of the bad debt provision is carried out in line with company policy, by the provision of management information regarding aged debt profiles, intelligence regarding customer liquidity / solvency and concerns regarding customer payment history.
You will also be required to adhere to the credit control, escalation procedure and in agreement with the policy, implement proceedings against poor payers. Perform company credit checks as required for accounts for which credit terms / stage payments have been offered, pursue overdue accounts in accordance established with credit control procedures.
You will also monitor and control customer accounts, record sheets and query logs, ensure adequate SAP training and support is provided, manage and control bad debt escalation process, ensure accurate and timely delivery of aged debt reports as well as handle on going liaison with Connections project managers / Designers & other stakeholders regarding overdue account.
You will also be handling customer correspondences as well as interfacing with internal departments, attending to aged debt profile, clearly defined and quantifiable KPIs, you will have control of customer accounts, introduce and maintain Best Practice techniques and ensure the Credit Control team is trained to the appropriate level in SAP and third-party collection techniques.
