Senior Management Accountant/Assistant Group Financial Controller
Maidstone (must drive)
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week on site
Our client is a leading production company based in the Kent countryside. Within a large finance team, they are looking for an additional senior member to join the team.
We are seeking a qualified accountant to initially join as an experienced/senior management accountant, with a view to assisting the Group FC with several additional duties moving forward.

To be successful in this role you need to be driven and want to submerge yourself in the inner workings of the finance function and be an integral cog within the company. You need to be an energised, self-motivated, and experienced individuals to be able to hit the ground running and offer immediate support to the busy team. As a senior member you need to be comfortable reporting at senior levels, while still being very approachable to be able to work efficiently with other departments and individuals of varying skill sets and levels.
*Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and collating P&L information of each income stream, analysis and reporting.
*Balance Sheet ownership and analysis
*Prepare KPI reports for Senior Management team
*Oversee VAT return preparation and compliance
*Oversee Payroll compliance
*Assisting with the preparation of the Annual Budget and Statutory Year End Accounts
*Liaise with key stakeholders internal and external
*Oversee bank reconciliations and assist with cashflow reporting.
*Identify and develop improvements in processes and reporting
*Capture and present information to the business to improve understanding and aid decision making.
*A recognised qualification in accounting (CIMA/ ACCA/ACA)
*Experience working in practice would be ideal but not essential
*Experience in a high-volume production/manufacturing business would be advantageous
*Experience of producing Statutory Accounts is essential
*Ability to make business and finance decisions
*Driven, determined, and energised by their work
*Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of staff
*Very good organisational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines
*Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Previous experience of managing a small team would be beneficial
*Own transport due to office location
The client is quite flexible on working hours:
9.00am - 5.30pm
8.30am - 5.00pm
8.00am - 4.30pm
