Job Title: Operations Manager

Salary: £40,000

Location: based Tunbridge Wells, hybrid working available

Join an awarding winning, independent company as an Operations Manager in the Business Travel team and enjoy building and developing great working relationships both inside and outside of the organisation.

Duties include:

* Ensuring day-to-day running of the business travel team, providing an exceptional quality service to all clients.
* Managing staffing resources and skills to meet service requirements with maximal efficiency and quality.
* Developing and maintaining valued client relationships with in-person visits to review the relevancy and appropriateness of services and products provided.
* Building fantastic relationships with suppliers to ensure all issues are managed smoothly and in the best interests of the company.
* Leading and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team, developing, motivating, and guiding colleagues to lift performance standards across the board.
* Keeping your market knowledge fresh and current, attending outside events as relevant.
* Overseeing the team's compliance with industry and internal standards and service requirements.
* Liaising closely with HR for specialist support and guidance on people management, recruitment, and retention strategies and processes.

The successful candidate will have:

* A solid, demonstrable track record of operational experience within corporate travel solutions, and use of associated systems, such as GDS and OBT.
* Confidence and capability using IT programmes to produce MI reports and analysis.
* Experience and skills in negotiation, professional communication, and effective problem resolution.
* A good level of experience in value account management and troubleshooting.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
* Demonstrable experience within a leadership role, motivating and developing a small team.
