Working for our London based client, you will be responsible for protecting and improving human health and the environment. You will enable the organisation to fulfil its statutory duties under the contaminated land regime as set out in Part 2A of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

You will complete tasks associated with the Part 1 EPA 1990 LAPPC regulatory regime and in particular visit Part B prescribed processes in accordance with a risk-based inspection programme for the boroughs prescribed installations

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert scientific and technical input to council and private developers relating to numerous contaminated land/remediation projects, including industrial, commercial and residential developments that carry budgets ranging between thousands and millions of pounds, which varies each year.
* Liaise with other technical specialists as well as advise and educate the general public, other departments, commercial and industrial organisations at various levels to improve their awareness of ensure confidence in matters relating to land contamination.

Key Skills:

* Working knowledge of all legislation, statutory guidance and scientific and technical developments relating to the identification and remediation of land contamination, with a high level of professional expertise being reviewed and maintained at all times
