We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic Senior Occupational Therapist to join our exciting Forensic Occupational Therapy Service.

Salary: £35,490.00 - £38,883.00 p.a. (Salary shown is inclusive of an additional £1.50ph secure supplement, equivalent to £2,925 p.a. based on FT hours).

The Person:

· Possess a Degree or recognise Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy

· Current registration with the HCPC

· Possess familiarity with Occupational Therapy models and practical applications together with familiarity with functional assessment and rehabilitation planning

The Role:

· To develop and deliver an occupational therapy (OT) assessment and treatment service to patients / service users within a specified number of services.

· To provide unit-based, occupation-focused occupational therapy to patients / service users with complex developmental disorder and mental health needs.

· Be an active and integral member of the multidisciplinary team.

· With other members of the multi-disciplinary team, co-ordinate clinical care for service users within the hospital.

· To develop and implement the posts of Occupational Therapy Assistants within the service.

· To supervise the work of the Occupational Therapy Assistants and to provide clinical supervision, as required.

· To take on role of most senior occupational therapy practitioner in the service and liaise with senior management in relation to occupational therapy provision.

Benefits: 

Additional £1.50 ph enhancement addition to salary – equivalent to £2,925pa based on FT hours.
