Following the continued growth in the sales of our loudspeakers, KEF has an exciting opportunity to join our Production Team based at our Manufacturing site in Maidstone, Kent. We have Assembly Technician roles focussed on different stages of the manufacturing process.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling all parts within the manufacturing process which includes assembling sub parts used within the assembly of our high-end loudspeakers (including assembling PCBs and wiring harnesses) and for the end of line operations, you will test, clean, QA inspect and pack of our high-end speakers.

You will also assemble the parts into the loudspeaker cabinets along with other components and test and pack in an ISO9001 environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling of all sub assembly parts used within the manufacture of all loudspeakers built within the factory.

• Maintaining Quality to the highest standards

• Keeping a tidy and safe working environment

• Working with colleagues to create solutions to problems and challenges

• Working on sub-assemblies

• QC checking and packing

• Assisting with site maintenance and security

• Carrying out routine stock check counting as required

• Ensuring all of our speakers are manufactured to the highest possible standards, testing, cleaning/polishing and packing speakers into outer packaging.

The key challenges of this role are:

· Maintaining high-end build quality

· Visual quality of finished product

· Physically able to lift and move heavy items

Requirements

You will have:

· Ideally 3 years minimum experience in factory environment assembling products with use of hand tools and soldering iron.

· A good understanding of HSE practices

· Good communication skills

· Effective team player

· Attention to detail and a passion for producing high quality work

· ‘Can do’ attitude and a positive approach to work

· Ethical outlook and genuine interest in audio products and music
