Working for a dynamic chartered accountants who operate in niche markets, the role of Book-keeper and Payroll Administrator will be part of the growing and experienced outsourcing team.

The role

Bookkeeping from source documentation, including: purchase and sales invoicing, paying suppliers, bank reconciliations, general ledger journals, month-end; prepayments, accruals and payroll

* Accurately prepare VAT Returns under different VAT schemes
* Preparation of accounts up to trial balance, including reconciliation of all key balance sheet nominals Payroll
* Ensure all client's payrolls are processed accurately and that payslips, statutory returns and reports are produced and validated in the agreed timeframe
* Ensure compliance with statutory and pension scheme requirements
* Implementing new starter information and HMRC tax notifications
* Processing leavers; including last payment calculations and creating P45's
* Monthly PAYE liability reconciliation
* Producing and despatching employee tax documents
* Producing and sending HMRC Real Time Information and Pension electronic files
* Auto-enrolment pensions setup and processing

To apply, you should demonstrate proven book-keeping, payroll and VAT return experience, with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of book-keeping. You should be comfortable with liaising with client's to understand their needs and ideally have experience of Xero, Sage, Key accounts and BrightPay.

This is a very varied role and would suit someone who is part of fully AAT or CIMA qualified, with previous experience in industry as a Book-keeper and Payroll Administrator or with similar experience gained in practice.
