Our client, a well-established British brand, have an opening for a Supply Chain Buyer to join their dynamic and supportive Supply Chain team based in West Kent.

Duties include:

* Overseeing and managing purchase orders in line with order cycle and MRP requirements, ensuring accurate delivery dates.
* Ensuring supplier order books are flowing in line with order requirements, and adjusting as necessary.
* Identifying any late supplier deliveries or shortages, reporting, and actioning any material availability issues.
* Attending daily team meetings to keep team updated on availability and anticipate any long-term issues.
* Making use of ERP systems to analyse lead times, order cycles, MOQs, lot sizes, and identify opportunities to reduce and optimise inventory, maintaining agreed service levels whilst achieving inventory targets.
* Providing analytical support to the team around delivery performance, stock levels, component shortages, supplier spend, and 'what if' scenarios.
* Attending daily production meetings to discuss suppliers, make contingency arrangements where needs, and address any quality issues.

The successful candidate will have:

* Solid experience working within a fast-paced supply chain environment meeting deadlines. Ideally, experience within commodities such as polymer/ mouldings.
* Confidence and experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
* Demonstrable experience of providing reports and interpreting numerical data.
* Experience of a continuous improvement environment.
* Great organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Assertiveness and positivity.
* Initiative and forward planning skills.
* Good team working skills.
