Hybrid working available, with 1 day a week from home
An exciting new opening for an experienced HR Manager has arisen for our well-established client based in West Kent.
The successful HR Professional will assist the Director to deliver people management solutions, supporting managers and staff on all aspects of people management, current legislation, best practice, and recruitment.
Your duties will include:
* Building people management capabilities across the organisation: training and supporting managers through the entire performance management process, including probation, appraisals, promotions, talent, and performance management.
* Using coaching techniques to develop management early action and effective handling of employee relations issues.
* Working with department heads and Direct of HR to develop training budgets and relevant courses and manage talent pools and succession plans.
* Taking on complex Employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy, with impeccable documentation and paperwork gathering.
* Providing an expert source of information for management and staff questions around policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Supporting line management with complex cases and improvement plans.
* Overseeing and developing appraisal systems to ensure fitness for purpose.
* Supporting across the organisation with employee engagement and recruitment.
Mandatory skills:
* CIPD qualification and solid experience within an HR Generalist/ Management role.
* Demonstrable experience of managing recruitment across an organisation.
* Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and ability to apply this within policies and procedures.
* Confident IT skills including MS Office.
* Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
* Sensitive and empathy dealing with confidential and/or emotive information.
* Self-motivated with the ability to contribute well to teams.
* Proactive and dynamic, comfortable working to tight deadlines.
