Do you have sound IT skills and an interest in software testing, or knowledge of this kind of work gained through a relevant qualification or experience?

Can you show an understanding of higher education outreach and widening participation and an enthusiasm for systems and technical accuracy?

We have a vacancy for a Technical Support Officer and Tester to join our small development team, leading on quality assurance for Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT), a system hosted by the University of Kent which provides a member-based service supporting the targeting, monitoring and evaluation of activities delivered by more than 100 providers of higher education (HE) across the country.

The role includes advising, supporting and troubleshooting for HEAT users, so besides your technical skills and experience you will be comfortable dealing regularly with a wide range of customers and building good working relationships across the Service.

Part of the team is based at the University's Canterbury campus, however, we are a nationwide service so full remote working is an option for this post; the main base will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

an excellent pension scheme with generous employer contributions
on-campus cinema/theatre, sports facilities, library, nursery and food outlets, set among green, open space overlooking the Cathedral
