KMH Group was founded in 1984 producing high quality structure cabling systems for the new networks across the UK. Over the past 37 years we have grown and now install a a variety of IP syetsm along with network infrastructure into anything from huge distribution centers to small offices.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Junior Data Engineer will work alongside a Senior Engineer installing data cabling, Network systems and other IT systems. Full training is provided as well as an opportunity to complete a full Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship covering the below training:

Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship
• BTEC Level 3 Award Certified Network Cable Installer (Copper)
• BTEC Level 3 Award Certified Network Cable Installer (Optical Fibre)
• Eligibility for an ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Network Infrastructure Installer Gold Card
• Eligibility for ECS Apprentice card
• Official Certification - Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician (CIIT®) certification
• BTEC Level 4 Award Certified Integrated Infrastructure Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in running cables through buildings
• Writing up reports
• Working at heights
• Interacting with clients

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Physically fit
• Have flexibility around working hours, including night work and overtime
• Willing to work within different locations over the UK staying away
• Good attention to detail
• Honest and trustworthy
• Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and self-driven

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Ideally any experience with installing cabling or working on a construction site.
• Full clean UK driving license
• Comfortable with using tools and machinery
