This is an exciting new opportunity to be part of the Leadership team of a growing not-for profit organisation that delivers a service which makes a real difference to people's lives. You will lead a small team providing operational support to the organisation and provide support to the CEO and Board of Trustees.

As Head of Operations you will be a key member of the Leadership team and work closely with the Head of Services, Finance Officer & Fundraising and Partnerships Manager. You will take lead responsibility for and manage a range of important functions: Human Resources, Compliance (Health and Safety, Risk Management, Policies and Procedures, Information Governance, Data Management etc), IT & Systems and Business Administration and Quality Assurance and work with external providers such as HR services & IT support.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of managing operational functions and ideally experience and knowledge of how a charity operates.

You will need to be able to problem solve, think strategically and be a confident decision maker able to manage multiple workstreams and tasks concurrently.

You will be an experienced leader, effective communicator and have a passion for motivating and developing your team and drive continuous improvement.

Your role will be key to ensuring the client optimises it's operational efficiency by ensuring operational functions and systems are effective, efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Leading a team to deliver efficient, effective and compliant operational support, with a strong focus on motivation, development, recruitment and the training of new and existing staff.

* Establish and maintain the operational support/systems needed to deliver and develop our services.

* Work collaboratively with other members of the Leadership team to deliver strategic and organisation-wide objectives.

* Contribute to and support the cycle of strategic review and planning and implementation of our client's Strategic and Operational plans.

* Prepare a range of management information reports for the CEO and Board and other stakeholders as required.

* Support the CEO/Board with statutory reporting and governance requirements and administration of Board and Committees functions.
