Premier Work Support are partnering with a rapidly expanding business, who design and manufacture lighting. This is to recruit for a permanent Purchasing and Stock Control Manager to be based in the Dartford area.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be required to plan, co-ordinate, and direct appropriate resources to achieve timely delivery of materials for their in-house manufacturing operation. You will also be tasked with implementing and managing accurate purchasing & stock reporting along with performing yearly supplier audits.

This position will be a pivotal role helping both the department and company move to the next level. You must be familiar with Sage 200 Manufacturing or similar software and have extensive experience in a similar role. This role also involves line managing 2 buyers, so management experience is essential.

Key Duties;

* Evaluate, update and improve current supply chain, logistics and purchasing processes.
* Remain up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with suppliers which are beneficial to the company.
* Review, forecast and prepare schedules with regard to stock control, inventory, purchasing and production supply as well as monitoring material changes and sales trends.
* Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual reporting.
* Monitor and improve purchasing quality control processes.

You will need:

* Proven purchasing, inventory, and distribution management skills.
* Knowledge of the relevant product sector.
* Experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
* Negotiation skills and ability to close business transactions.

This role is Monday to Friday with the working hours of 8.45am - 5.15pm.
