Working as part of a team of qualified teachers and tutors you will support students who are no longer taught in mainstream education. You will visit students' homes, develop relationships with them and their families to support them through GCSE English.

Specialists are ideal but the ability to develop relationships and deliver exciting lessons on a 1:1 basis is more important. You will be flexible and adaptable and show empathy in difficult circumstances but be able to offer encouragement and support to students and parents alike.

To qualify for this role you will need:

* QTS or similar qualification
* Specialism in English & Maths - or a working knowledge of the subject
* Have knowledge of the wider national curriculum at KS3 and KS4
* Have a supportive and caring approach to coaching students
* Able to travel to student homes
* A current DBS
