A transport planner is required for one of Europe's largest logistics companies with this role based in Dover. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a hugely successful business where you play a pivotal part within the business adding value to their transport team. Our Client can accommodate both day shifts Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm - paying £31,400/annum and also night shifts 7am-7pm 4 on 4 off paying £30,591/annum.

This is a busy role and the purpose of the role is to develop and implement plans for the routing of the drivers and vehicles ensuring all resources are deployed cost effectively and efficiently

About you:

* Previous route planning with UK routes, aware of route planning techniques and processes
* IT literate able to use MS office packages and able to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
* Able to work to fluid targets and deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Extensive knowledge and application of transport regulations and health and safety procedures

About the role;

* Plan routes efficiently and effectively
* Quote prices for movement of loads upon requests
* Readily adjust plans to account for unforeseen circumstances, dealing with customers and any issues they might have
* Assist the team with load plans and to interpret route allocations
