Could you be the next person to join my PA /care team providing 1:1 assistance and practical support at home (mostly).

It’s a varied and rewarding job involving helping me craft and make things for my fundraising shop, playing hobby board games and enjoying my garden. The roll also involves personal care, keeping my home clean and tidy, cooking and general domestic support.

I'm a wheelchair user with limited use of my limbs. I’m looking for 3 people to join my team of Personal Assistants who support me with 1:1 practical assistance over the week.

I have employed care workers/PAs for over 25 years and people find it a very rewarding and interesting profession.

Assistance includes anything that might need doing during the day and making my days the best they could be.

The post is NHS funded although you would be employed directly by me.

Days / shifts available to apply for (any combination considered):

Weekday: 9 am to 6 pm flexibly Monday, Tuesday, Friday [or 9-1.30pm \ 1.30 - 6pm half day shifts].

Weekend: 10am to 5pm Saturday, 10.30 am to 3.30 pm Sunday

(Can do 9.10 start and 6.10pm finishes)

* Availability to cover other staff on some other days, for sickness, holidays etc, is required.

Other:

* Female applicants only due to intimate care.
* Care/ assistance experience required (paid, voluntary/family/neighbour or similar will be considered).
* Driver (manual car) required for week days as I occasionally go out and to medical appointments.
* Insurance and training provided (online learning and shadowing during a 12 week induction).
* Easy parking
* PAYE
* Full Covid and influenza vaccination required (provided free for NHS essential staff)
