We are looking for a manager to join our Children and Young people team delivering services for Young Carers and disabled children. Maybe you have management experience already or are looking to take the next step in your career… this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

You will join a team who are dedicated to providing consistent, high quality services that enable Young People to improve their wellbeing, build resilience and achieve their full potential. In this role, you will manage and develop small teams working across Kent and East Sussex, overseeing planning and delivery of services activities, and supervising team leaders and delivery staff. You will be required to support the delivery of some activities in person. Manager responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating targets and performance, with a strong focus on outcomes.

You should be able to form effective relationships with young people, colleagues and volunteers; and have a good understanding of professional boundaries. The role involves networking and developing relationships with a range of statutory agencies, education providers, and voluntary and community partners; and you will deliver presentations and attend events to represent and promote services.

Applicants should have relevant experience in social care, health, education or voluntary and community sectors relating to working with Children and Young People. You should also have experience of working with complex family dynamics, and knowledge of issues affecting young people and families, including mental health and substance abuse.

As a manager, you will demonstrate an understanding of and ensure adherence to confidentiality, data protection, safeguarding and other organisational policy. We have several offices across Kent, so base is flexible, and you should be prepared to travel as part of the role. Car driver essential.
