Job Title: Fire and Theft Claims Handler - Motor

Salary: £23,000

Location: Tonbridge, with opportunity for hybrid working

Our client, an established and well-regarded insurance company, is looking for an experienced first party motor claims handler to join their busy, successful team.

You will be dealing with fire and theft related motor claims as efficiently as possible, using your knowledge, flair for investigation and attention to detail to ensure correct decisions are made.

Duties include:

* Processing fire and theft claims in line with existing policies and procedures, ensuring any regulatory requirements are met.
* Liaising with internal support teams and external suppliers to ensure a responsive and quality service is provided to customers.
* Answering inbound queries, complaints and providing updates on claims to customers and representatives.
* Identifying potential third party claims exposure in theft claims, specifically where stolen vehicles may be recovered damaged.
* Spotting suspicious claims and flagging them to the Fraud Investigation Team.
* Ensuring complaints are recorded on the complaints system in an accurate and timely manner.
* Achieving against agreed objectives, KPIs and SLAs.

The successful candidate will have:

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and numeracy abilities.
* A confident, empathetic, and professional telephone manner, with the ability to vary your approach for the benefit of the customer.
* Previous experience as a Motor Claims Handler.
* Tact, assertiveness, and professionalism in dealing with sometimes angry or distressed customers.
* A passion for providing great customer service and meeting targets.
* Drive to be a good team player, motivating your self and those around you.
