Our client is family run property management company specialising in leasehold retirements properties.
They are currently looking for a House Manager to be based in residence in Hythe, which does not require nursing care of any kind, just general kindness, and support to residents. Someone from the Healthcare industry would be an advantage but not essential as the main focus is to be committed and offer full support to the residence with patience and understanding.
Skills and Job Spec
Must be computer literate – IT skills required but most of the communication with Head Office is through emails.
Personality, kindness and understanding are the most important factors required for this position and commitment to the job. If successful after the first telephone interview you will have the opportunity to meet the current House Manager who will show around the premises and take you through the requirements in more detail face to face.
You will be expected to maintain a high profile at the site at all times.
Take immediate actions in the event of an emergency, calling for assistance from the appropriate services.
Monitor and record a daily check list for all residents.
Establish a friendly relationship with residents offering advice and making sure next of kin are informed of any problems where appropriate.
Hold a meeting with Residents and to inform the office and Careline of any changes.
Promote events that will allow new residents to get to know each other.
Highlight the need for security reminding Residents that no unannounced visitors, other than trades, should be on site.
Record regular maintenance inspections of services and equipment and arrange for fire tests to be carried out.
Ensure all communal areas are safe and secure and are kept free of rubbish.
Oversee work of trades people and sign off invoices where work has been completed.
Banking of monies collected from vending machine, guest suite and owners service charge etc.
Salary and Benefits
Hours are 09.00 - 5.00 Monday to Friday. However, the House Manager needs to be on call for emergencies out of hours.
You will have one complete weekend off in 4 (ie not available for emergencies, cover will be bought in)
You will also be offered a 2 bedroom flat FOC, Water and Council Tax paid.
Personal prom and electricity to be paid by House Manager.
Salary £19,000 - £20,000 depending on experience
The post will be available from 1st March 2022.
