We are looking for a graphic designer who enjoys working on a variety of projects using a wide range of creative disciplines, from simple templated jobs to completely unique ‘from scratch’ campaigns for our clients. You will have good written and communicative English and some fundamental knowledge and experience within the Adobe Cloud software (mainly InDesign and Photoshop) which you’ll be able to provide a few examples of. You’re a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn, develop and grow to become a valued part of the company and its future.

We need you to be versatile in being able to show your ability to work in an often fast-paced and evolving business. Every day will be different and bring challenges, but it will be fun too!

A candidate with some experience would be great, however, a great personality and portfolio are more important to us than years under your belt. You will be growing skills and learning more as you work and ultimately want to develop into a more responsible role with rewards that your hard work deserves. We want you to feel part of the business, to share your thoughts and opinions to help our development as a company.


[The Role]

The role will be mainly focused on marketing and attached to one or two main clients at first until you get confident. You’ll be fully supported by and working closely with the Creative Director and Marketing Manager on a daily basis. You’ll get to see your work go from concept to reality and you’ll be required to eventually manage the complete process into production. You will also be tasked with upkeeping of the website and our social channels, creating content and sharing your ideas for future content.

Projects can take the form of printed, digital, social, email, animated or video content. They can also involve working with the 3D designer and systems to produce work-winning installation and exhibition proposals.

This role would be ideal for someone who has gained some office experience in their first role and is looking to move on and expand their knowledge.


[Requirements]

- Good standard of English and spelling (GCSE Grades A-C or 4-9)
- Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud apps
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Comfortable working in a small team
- In it for the long game - we want someone to grow with the company

[Training]

Training is a required part of this role and will be given for the first stage and ultimately deliver a qualification up to Level 3 Content Creator but in March there is a wider Level 4 apprenticeship which is a HND qualification for Marketing including Social Media and content. route to follow under this role.

In this role you will be working towards being able to work independently whilst working with direction in order to deliver the following:

Social Media Platforms:

- Posts on Facebook/LinkedIn/Instagram/Twitter/Mini-Blog


Company Website:

- Routine maintenance: content updates - image/text.
- Opportunity to get involved in Ads and SEO on our websites.


Day-to-day:

- Maintain and update content on our servers/image library.
- Collate and source new imagery.
- Image editing/retouching and upload to library.
- Upkeep of cloud systems with job logging and workflow.
- On-demand client requests for designs and PDF updates, flyers, email templates, brochures etc. by using the cloud workflow system to monitor everything.
- Working up (from pre-made templates) to client spec.


Internal Communication:

- Monitor workflow system for new tasks and briefs.
- Attend weekly production meetings via Zoom or in person.
- Using the phone system to speak with team or clients once you are familiar with their work.
- Using email to communicate with clients and suppliers.
- Using our secure cloud storage systems to share links with team and clients alike.

For the past 12 years we have been creating work for some varied 2D print and digital projects together with 3D design and builds for exhibitions and marketing installations. We have won awards for our work and hope to build on the successes of the past. Our primary purpose is to help clients better connect with their audience while providing the fundamental creative elements and touchpoints. We work mainly for the corporate sector within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, technology and the defence industries. We have a small, friendly team, expert contractors and suppliers that we work closely with.

Currently, our office is located in the small village of Hadlow, within a large business centre which is situated near the A26 between Tonbridge and Maidstone, surrounded by beautiful arable farmland with plenty of country walks. So, if seeing the horizon and fresh air is your thing, we have it in abundance. The office is easily reached by car from the A26 or on foot with a short walk down the lane from the nearest bus stop. Buses regularly stop every 20mins to half an hour here.



[Future Plans]

We plan to attract more prestige work this year and expand the team within the next 3 years. We plan to move into larger premises at some stage too. We want to be seen as an extremely flexible employer and once you have settled in to our culture, working in the office and grasped how we operate (short-term), we would like to offer a mix of remote and on-site working to retain the ‘team feel’ and close collaboration.
