We currently have a vacancy for a Cross-Functional Operator at our Aylesford site. Our Cross Functional Operators are responsible for undertaking a variety of duties across our production departments including Assembly, Extrusion and Injection Moulding.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn to be multi-skilled across all functions and help to ensure continuous operation whilst providing coverage for periods of high demand and absences.

Responsibilities may include packing, quality inspection and testing of moulded components, production bookings, assembly of various manufactured components and stock control.

The successful candidate will also be required to learn to operate Mechanical Handling Equipment and Fork Lift Trucks for the transfer of manufactured stock.

The ideal candidate will need to be reliable, have an excellent timekeeping/ attendance record and be capable of working within a high demand, fast paced manufacturing environment. They will require a flexible attitude and the ability to work the hours required to meet operational demand e.g. a variety of shifts (which will be planned in advance).

The successful candidate will also be expected to work in accordance with departmental Safe Systems of Work. Previous experience of working within a production environment would be an advantage but training will be provided.

The position is based on 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may incorporate day or shift patterns, including nights.
