New Appointments Group are supporting a luxury FMCG who have a worldwide reputation for their expertise, innovation and passion in regards to their products as they recruit a Cost Accountant.

In this role you will join a growing finance team, as you lead the process, creating, validating and maintain Bills of Material records, analysing variances between standard and actual costs of material, labour and overheads.

As an experienced Cost Accountant you will work with a number of managers collaboratively as well as taking full ownership of all financial planning and analytics

The role

* Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
* Determine fixed costs (ie salaries, rent and insurance)
* Plan and record variable costs (eg purchases of raw material and operations costs)
* Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
* Prepare budgeting reports
* Analyse and report profit margins
* Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) costs forecasts

About you

* Demonstrable and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
* Experience of accounting software such as MS Dynamics, SAGE or CIM
* BSC degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study
* IT literate with an emphasis of MS Excel (familiarity with VLookUps & pivot tables)
* Ideally a background of working in an FMCG
* Excellent analytical skills
