Housing Options Manager for Local Authority in Thanet, Hybrid WFH model in place

Hays Social Housing are working in partnership with a Local Authority organisation based in Thanet to help them recruit for an exceptional Housing Options Manager to lead their Housing Options Service into the future.
Your new role
This organisation is extremely proud of their proactive approach to supporting residents with finding solutions to their housing difficulties. As the Housing Options Manager you will lead a team that provides a wide range of services, including homelessness prevention, statutory homelessness and temporary accommodation, landlord liaison, housing register and allocations to council and housing association homes. They have an award-winning rough sleeper service, RISE, which is an integral part of the team, working with some of the most disadvantaged members of the Thanet community.
Working directly with the Director of Housing and Planning you will be responsible for developing and delivering new services in response to the challenges of homelessness and housing need, at a particularly challenging time as we emerge from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an exciting opportunity with scope to influence services for the future
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced housing professional with excellent technical and legislative knowledge. You'll also be a natural leader with strong management and communication skills and the drive to lead in service improvement.
