Within an extremely fast-paced stores and distribution warehouse, we are seeking someone who is physically fit, who enjoys keeping busy, excels under pressure and can be flexible to adapt to the business needs. Practical knowledge of ERP I.T systems. With guidance and training from the Stores & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for receiving deliveries, producing delivery notes and picking the required customer orders. Attention to detail is key to ensure our customer orders are correct every time. Our customers can require an immediate response, being able to prioritise your workload to accommodate the customer is vital.

Roles and responsibilities

To think logically and methodically under pressure with a keen eye for detail with the capacity to multitask.
Must hold a full clean driving licence - Urgent customer deliveries maybe required.
Hold a current counterbalance forklift certificate
Continually maintaining computer records updating stock inventory.
Loading and unloading vehicles with a counterbalance forklift truck.
Check condition of delivery and reconcile product against relevant paperwork (Delivery Notes, Purchase Orders, Serial numbers etc)
Clearly label goods ready for storage.
Locating goods in correct Storage locations whether to be held or delivery to customer.
Follow all stores procedures.
Regular safety checks on all equipment within the stores control.
Adhere to BSI 9001:2015 and FORS (fleet operator recognition scheme).
Assisting the Stores & Logistics Manager to implement continual improvements within the business.
Rolling stock checks
Liaising with the sales office to ensure customer deliveries will be met.
Monitoring goods on order.
Liaising with the team and other colleagues within the business to ensure smooth transactions both entering and leaving the stores.
Delivering a high standard of customer service.

Preferred but not essential
Stock and warehousing experience of industrial and engineering distribution sales.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
