Your new company
This international consultancy is just over a decade old, with a background in Quantity Surveying, Construction & Development. They have their main office is in South London, with an associate office in Ireland. They also have a wealth of international experience operated in continental North America, Mainland Europe, and the MENA region.

They work across multiple sectors and will even second themselves into business's that don't have the skillset to offer a full cost consultancy service. Some of their other services include; take - off & measurement, cost management & quantity surveying, project & construction management, value engineering, site selection & strategic project planning, project scheduling & monitoring, contract administration and feasibility & financial appraisals.

They are now in a position to take a Quantity Surveyor in their South London office to join their commercial team and work on projects within the fit out and residential space. The team is small, but busy and with a strong pipeline of work, you will have the opportunity to progress in the business with endeavour. This is proven by the fact a Senior QS joined their Ireland location in September 2020 and has already been promoted into a team leader role.

Your new role
In the role of the Quantity Surveyor, you will be performing the following duties; producing bills of quantities / schedule of works and take offs, estimating and producing feasibility cost plans, checking, and analysing tenders, including preparing tender reports, preparing monthly cost reports and general contract administration.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have the following qualifications, skills, and experience; Degree Qualified (Cost Management / Quantity Surveying), post-Grad experience in relevant work placement (Quantity Surveying Role), experience of supervising / producing bills of quantities to a high standard, proficient in MS Office. You will need experience of construction estimating software (RIPAC, CostX, etc), experience of digital measurement software for automated take off, extensive knowledge of SMM7, NRM1 & NRM2, knowledge in standard JCT forms and awareness of NEC3/NEC4 Forms and proven cost management application.

What you'll get in return
As part of the package for this role, you can expect a salary of up to £45k along with a discretionary bonus, holidays, and pension options.
