Role: Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Plastics

Location: Gillingham

Salary:£37,000

shift rota: 2 days (12h) 2 nights (12h) 4 days off

General Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repairs, installation and testing, improvement projects and general routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machineries such as plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse and site facilities.



Responsible in all respects to Senior Team Leader, Maintenance and/or Print & Maintenance Manager, or as notified by any other means in writing, whichever is the most recent.

You are exhibiting and developing a culture of service to all departments within the Company.

Carry out duties assigned by Senior Team Leader, Maintenance and/or Print & Maintenance Manager using own initiative and best judgement

Propose alterations and improvements to all systems, plant, equipment and tools in the interests of the Company, Engineering Department and all forms of safety

To attend breakdowns and take appropriate action to promptly return the plant to production whilst adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice.

They are performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as required.

They ensure that all Electrical installations adhere to the Safe Working Procedures, Instructions, and legal and best practice requirements.

Keeping clear, complete and appropriate records of all work carried out.

Ensuring that the Senior Team Leader, Maintenance, is kept informed on all key issues. Keeping up to date with technical and process developments throughout the Company.

You are following safe systems of work and complying with Health and Safety regulations. Other duties may be assigned by line management from time to time.
Attending call outs as required by a roster.
