Accounts Assistant | Kent / Hybrid Working | 22-25k
Our client, a well-established and fantastic charity in Kent is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their team orientated finance department in Kent. The role offers candidates good variety in a busy and changing environment and would be an excellent opportunity for someone studying their AAT or with a few years finance experience behind them.
The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance Team by ensuring timely and accurate processing, answer internal and external queries in a professional manner and ensure databases are updated on a regular basis with correct information.
You will take an active role in the day to day transactions of the finance function, which may include but are not limited to:
• Bank reconciliations
• Processing purchase ledger invoices
• BACS & ad hoc payments
• Raising sales invoices
• Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and collate information to enable timely reporting
• Assist with credit control to keep overdue debt to a minimum
• Various aspects of cash processes
• Petty cash
• Liaise with establishment managers to ensure monthly returns are completed on time
Candidate Profile
• AAT studier or ideally 2-3 years’ experience within a finance administration role
• Accurate methodical approach
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proactive & solution driven
• Effective problem solver
• Adaptable & flexible
• Caring & understanding nature
