My client is looking for a conscientious and motivated Finance Assistant to join its group finance team. The role involves ensuring that the company’s records and ledgers are updated on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for updating, reconciling and controlling the bank accounts and ledgers and, assisting in providing accurate information for incorporation into the monthly management account.

What does it entail?

Daily bank balance reporting
Banking of all cheques including clubs and internet
All direct payments and BACS runs, including all foreign currency payments
Working with credit control daily to post all receipts onto the sales ledger
Posting of all other bank payments and receipts
Bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
Weekly PayPal transfers
Weekly PNC transfers
Preparing weekly cashflow to be incorporated into the cashflow forecast
Provide cover for the purchase ledger
Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
Ad-hoc tasks for reporting and analysis

What skills and experience do I need?

Experience of working in a finance role
Cash book and bank reconciliation experience
Ability to use Excel to intermediate level
Experience of using Accounting systems / packages
Ability to liaise effectively internally and externally
Good team player
Keen to learn
