St Benedict’s Centre is set within the grounds of Malling Abbey and offers space for individuals and groups to meet, study, retreat and pray. We are seeking to appoint a Bursar for the centre who can deliver a high standard of administrative support and hospitality.

The successful applicant should have previous administrative experience with some basic accounting knowledge and be able to support the Christian values and ethos of the centre. The candidate will have a key role in greeting and welcoming guests and undertaking a range of administrative tasks including booking management and finance tasks therefore excellent organisational skills and IT skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookings for the Centre and deal efficiently with enquiries

• Prepare rooms and refreshments for guests and be the face of the centre when welcoming and providing information to users

• Carry out financial administration for the centre including sending invoices and taking deposits and payments, payment of invoices, stock ordering and financial records and reports

• Co-ordinate Health and Safety requirements for the centre, including risk assessments, audits and signage etc.
