We are currently working with a specialist manufacturing business based just outside of Maidstone.

Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join their established team.

The Junior Engineer will be responsible for:

Managing end to end projects
Design 3D models for bespoke products for customers worldwide
Liaise with the client/sales team to identify design requirements
Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for internal and external use

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Have a relevant engineering degree in Mechanical/Design Engineering
Strong experience using 3D CAD software (ideally Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks)
Full lifecycle design experience - concept design, 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and designing for manufacture as well as maintenance and design improvement considerations
Capable of producing detailed drawings with all relevant information required to manufacture/assemble/purchase
Proficient IT skills with strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Strong initiative and ability to work autonomously on projects
Experience of working in an ISO 9001 accredited Engineering company, project management experience, experience working with precision sheet metal and use of ERP and or MRP systems would be desirable
