£60k+ depending on experience

A family-owned business in the heart of Kent with over 50 years of experience of growing and distributing quality top, stone and soft fruit is looking for a Commercial Account Manager to join the developing and expanding business.

The position of Commercial Account Manager will report directly to the Senior Commercial Manager, working closely to ensure the customer receives the best possible service and that expectations are met with regards to forecasting, order management, product availability, quality, commercials etc.

The role offers the opportunity to develop and work daily with specific major retail accounts and become an integral part of the direct grower to retail model.

The ideal candidate:

• comes from the fresh produce sector
• has a background in account management with major retailers
• is highly organised and analytical
• has a confident approach to administrative tasks, providing a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• has a strong commercial background and good MS Excel and presentation skills
• has experience in the soft fruit and/or top fruit category
• is a team player with good communication skills and has the ability to work with colleagues and customers across all levels
• is willing and able to tackle difficulties in order to get the job done whilst focusing on quality service for the customer

Minimum requirements for successful applicant:

• experience with fresh foods, short shelf lives and working with retail customers
• the ability to communicate with internal and external colleagues.
