Opiate Recovery Worker needed in Maidstone till March 2022

Hays are a national recruiting partner of this large support organisation who place the service user at the heart of everything they do. This organisation is focused on supporting vulnerable people in the community. They primarily support service users whose lives have been held back by a range of social deprivation, poverty and addictions. They have services dotted across Kent including Gravesend, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Folkestone.
Your new role
You will be supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey; this will include managing large caseloads in excess of 70-100. Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination. You will provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referrals ultimately reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community. In addition to promoting care to the service user and community involvement you will provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience working within a prescribing service with clients addicted to Opiate Substances.
* Previous experience of managing large caseloads of clients who are addicted to opiate substances
* Must have worked and have experience with prescribing practices and clients addicted to opiate substances
* Must have experience working within substance misuse services
* Must have Hays Enhanced DBS or registered on the Update Portal
