New Business Development Manager - IT Support & Services
Location: Ashford
Salary: £25k + Commission
VR/03006R

This role is office desk-based in Ashford but will also involve frequent customer sites. Flexible working from home will be considered but an office presence is essential.

Are you already in a New Business Development role and now looking to move into the IT Support & Services sector? Or maybe you already have experience with selling managed services and are looking for a company where they can support you whilst you expand on this success.
The role of sales and account management is a key role to building a client pool and incoming work. The candidate needs to have a hunger for seeking out new clients and securing profitable work for the company.
You will be responsible for building your own pipeline, seeking out opportunities, pitching to potential clients and securing work.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional who has the drive and ability to close new business and exceed sales targets in a business-to-business environment, with an enthusiastic can-do attitude and a belief that anything can be achieved.
In return, you will receive a great package including a competitive salary, uncapped commission, travel expenses and other benefits. Working hours: Monday to Friday 08h30 - 17h30.
You will report to the Sales manager. This role is target driven.
Key Duties
• Visit potential customers for new business
• Provide customers with accurate and timely quotations
• Following up on quotations and proposals
• Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
• Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends
• Represent your organisation at trade exhibitions, demonstrations, live and virtual events
• Identify new markets and business opportunities
• Record sales and send copies to the sales office
• Review your own sales performance
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
Essential Sales Experience
• Motivated and target driven
• A proven track record of sales
• Clear and presentable forecasts
• Excellent communication skills
• A confident and determined approach
• Resilience - and the ability to cope with rejection
• A competitive streak

Essential Personal Experience
• Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
• Ability to follow procedures and mindful of attention to detail
• Able to work consistently in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressured environment
• Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
• Ability to manage your own workload and make progress with minimal supervision
• Ability to approach problems with a dynamic thought process.
• Experience working within a service desk environment
• Project management
• Fluent English
• Willing to work outside of the normal office hours
• Clean driving licence and own transport
• Willing to travel to customers place of work
• 3 years of experience in a similar role
