We are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant in the busy Finance Department of The College. This role will be to provide maternity cover estimated to be for a four month period commencing 23 August 2021.

You will report to The College Accountant and be responsible for maintaining accurate purchase ledgers with correct allocation of nominal codes, processing supplier payments and placing orders for supplies. In addition the successful candidate will assist the Senior Finance Assistant with other accounting functions such as posting bank transactions onto the accounts system, posting journals for cross charges between departments, managing the petty cash system, replying to queries from parents and staff via email, telephone and in person.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years previous experience in running a purchase ledger within a busy office environment, can work independently and is a team player.

Working hours;
Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (with 1 hour unpaid for lunch)
