Assistant Management Accountant | Medway | £25k - £35k

A well-established, privately owned construction business based in Medway, has a vacancy for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join them in a newly created role that can offer long term development. This is a friendly, collaborative finance team and they are looking for someone like minded who is a real team player and happy to roll their sleeves up and help where needed.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will be to provide financial support with a variety of accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal input and overseeing the purchase and sales ledger. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be a fundamental part of the Finance team providing both financial and management information to key stakeholders and play an integral part in assisting with the production of monthly management accounts.

Essential Skills
• AAT Qualified or actively studying towards this
• Able to use initiative and work without supervision
• Able to demonstrate confidentiality and integrity Strong accounting background
• Intermediate Excel skills (be comfortable with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and simple formulae)
• P&L, Balance Sheet and Forecasting knowledge Experience of month end completion
• Numerate with analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy and diligence
• Able to work as a team player and support other members of the team
